This policy explains which cookies Akdut uses, why we use them, and how you can manage your preferences.
What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file stored in your browser when you visit a site. Temporary (session) cookies are deleted when you close your browser; persistent cookies remain until they expire or you delete them.
Which cookies we use
Akdut uses strictly necessary cookies for sign-in and your language preference. It also uses optional analytics and advertising cookies that run only when you choose “Accept all” in the cookie notice. Analytics collects usage statistics and session recordings (how you navigate pages) to improve the product; in recordings, form fields and your financial data (such as portfolio amounts) are masked. Advertising measures the performance of our ads by sharing conversion events (such as sign-ups) with Meta, Reddit, X, TikTok, and Google — including hashed identifiers such as your email address and ad click IDs — and, for X, sets third-party cookies. Choosing “Only essential” disables analytics, recording, and advertising; your sign-in and language-preference cookies are strictly necessary and stay in place. You can change your choice anytime under My account › Preferences.

Local storage (not cookies)
Your theme choice and some interface preferences (e.g. the emoji chart toggle and column settings) are kept in your browser's local storage rather than in cookies. This data is never sent to our server and stays only in your browser.
Managing cookies
You can view, delete or block cookies from your browser settings. Choosing “Only essential” in the cookie notice turns analytics off; your sign-in and language-preference cookies are strictly necessary and are kept either way. If you're signed in, your choice can also be managed under My account › Preferences and is saved to your account. Note that blocking the strictly-necessary cookies will stop sign-in — or your saved language — from working.
